Wedelhütte

At the intersection between Kaltenbach and Hochfügen at 2,352 metres

The Wedelhütte invites you to relax and enjoy a stylish chalet atmosphere and culinary delights. The upper floor offers something special. You can enjoy exquisite cuisine in the exclusive Gourmet Lounge. It also offers, of course, rustic dining rooms and sun terraces. The Wedelhütte is home to the highest wine cellar in Austria. Despite its location in the "cellar" of the Wedelhütte, it still offers a beautiful view of the Ziller Valley mountain landscape. Where else can you enjoy fine wines accompanied by a breath-taking view? This explains the Wedelhütte’s accolade of "Best Wine Cellar".

Albergo

At the Wimbachexpress mountain station at 2,340 metres

The Albergo mountain restaurant has been completely renovated for the 2018-2019 season. It serves high-quality Italian cuisine. The menu features a selection of antipasti, soups, salads, delicious meat and fish dishes and risotto. The highlights are the home-made pasta and ravioli. Not forgetting typical Italian desserts. A good selection of fine wines rounds off the experience. You can sunbathe and enjoy the view over the Ziller Valley on the Sky Terrazza. The Albergo is the culinary highlight in the Hochzillertal ski resort

Kristallhütte

At the mountain station of the Kristall-Express at 2,147 metres

Over the last few years, the Kristallhütte has become a trendy meeting place in the ski resort of Hochzillertal. You can enjoy a unique lifestyle on the mountain here, with international beats and club sounds. The chef impresses with modern and creative cuisine. Great emphasis is placed on the freshness and origin of produce at the Kristallhütte. The restaurant serves top-quality regional produce. The truffle fries are highly recommended. You can enjoy the typical mountain hut atmosphere at the open fireplace and in the rustic dining rooms. In fine weather, there is an attractive sun terrace with a separate bar, waterbeds and lounge chairs. You can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view and good music sheltered from the wind here. The Kristallhütte also has an exclusive wine cellar and suites for overnight stays.

Bergrestaurant Mountain View

At the mountain station of the Hochzillertal lifts at 1,760 metres

The Mountain View mountain restaurant is a technical masterpiece. Its spacious interior is ideal for ski groups, clubs and families. The self-service restaurant offers an excellent selection of traditional Ziller Valley dishes, as well as burgers, pasta and pizza. Not forgetting, of course, a tempting salad buffet and desserts. Free drinking water is available fresh from the tap. A large sun terrace with a panoramic view and two attractive bars complete the offering. The decor features old gondolas from the Spieljochbahn lift and an old 1-person chairlift. An information point, ski depot, sports shop, mountain guide centre, ski school, group restaurant, apartments and the Zwergerl Club childcare centre are also integrated in the Mountain View building.

Mountain hut tip

Die Kashütte

At the base station of the Hirschbichllift at 2,085 metres

The community hut of the Mizunalm has been serving farmers for many decades, not just as a site for cheese production, but also as a meeting place for farmers, milkers and cheesemakers on the meadow in summer. The Kashütte was built in the 17th century. Combined efforts succeeded, in the summer of 2018, in transporting the hut and rebuilding it on the Hirschbichl. Today, the Kashütte offers an informal and homely atmosphere. It serves typical Tyrolean fare. Two double rooms are available for overnight stays.

Firnhütte

At the base station of the Neuhüttenbahn lift at 1,700 metres

The cosy Firnhütte including the FirnBar offers fine cuisine. The dishes served on the hot stone are highly recommended. The restaurant bakes its own bread on the premises.

Platzlalm

Above the mountain station of the Hochzillertal gondola lifts at 1,790 metres

You can enjoy delicious Tyrolean specialities here. In fine weather, you can sit on the sun terrace or by the crackling fire in the lounge.

This rustic hut was completely renovated in the 2013/2014 season. It offers cosy dining rooms, a large sun terrace and high-quality food.

This rustic ski and tobogganing meeting place offers mountain hut style and a cosy atmosphere You can still find authentic Ziller Valley fare here and the après ski is pretty good too. Just make sure you don’t miss the last shuttle bus to the base station of the Hochzillertal lifts.
