Beginners Åre

The ski resort of Åre is a beginners’ paradise. Beginners can ski throughout almost the entire winter sports area on easy and fairly easy slopes. The only exception is the slope from the Sadeln towards Åre. However, more experienced beginners can also tackle these wide slopes. In Åre Björnen, there are lots of easy tow lifts and button lifts leading to wide and easy slopes. Moving carpets round off the selection of lifts here. Use of the Mårdenliften in Åre Björnen is completely free of charge. Rödkullen also offers an excellent beginners’ area with a moving carpet and easy tow lifts and button lifts. The Rödhakeliften here can also be used completely free of charge. Even from the summit, it is possible to ski to all base stations in Åre on easy slopes. In some cases, easy cat tracks link up the individual slopes.
