Sustainability and climate protection are key priorities in the Aletsch Arena. The lifts are operated entirely using renewable energies from local sources. The Aletsch Arena ski area offers excellent public transport connections with direct lift stations. Visitors can access the lifts straight from the train and bus. No vehicles are permitted in the mountain villages in the ski area (Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp) (Community of Car-free Swiss Tourist Resorts - GaST). The Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and important investments are made in environmental education.
