Lifts/cable cars Almenwelt Lofer

A very modern 8-person gondola lift runs from the base in Lofer and acts as a feeder lift to the ski resort of Almenwelt Lofer. From the mountain station, a 6-person gondola lift takes you up to the Loferer Alm. As of the 2012/2013 season, an 8-person chairlift leads up to the Schwarzeck. As the world's first child-safe 8-person chairlift with weather-protection covers, heated seats and footrests, the lift to the peak will always be something special. The modern Family Express 6-person chairlift with weather-protection covers and heated seats is right next door. The new highly modern Sender Express 8-person chairlift with weather-protection covers, heated seats and footrests (replaces the Schönbühelbahn lift) provides access to the snow-reliable slopes below the Schönbühel. This makes Almenwelt Lofer the world's first ski resort with two child-safe 8-person chairlifts. Additional tow lifts and practice lifts also provide transportation for visitors. Beginners can look forward to a 140 metre long covered people mover at the mountain station. An additional 3 moving carpets are available in the children's areas operated by the ski schools.
