Mountain hut tip
Au P'tit Truc
At the base station of the lifts in Montfrais
The small Au P'tit Truc hut is peacefully located at the outermost point of the ski resort in Montfrais. Simple, regional dishes are served at moderate prices. When the weather is nice, there is a cozy terrace with tables and lounge chairs - and palm trees!
La Combe Haute
At the base station of the Chalvet lift, accessible via the Sarenne run
The Auberge de la Combe Haute is located deep in the Sarenne ravine, directly at a small mountain stream and is wonderfully wind-protected. As it is a bit away from the action, you can relax on the large terrace or in the restaurant. There are primarily regional specialties on the menu, but also some international dishes.
La Chantebise
At the middle station of the Grandes Rousses gondola
The large La Chantebise hut is very centrally located, above the village of Alpe d'Huez. The menu ranges from salads and sandwiches to French and international main courses and desserts. There are also fresh Crêpes from a self-service stand. When the weather in nice, the large terrace with tables and lounge chairs welcomes guests for a nice long break in the sun.
