The Dolomites have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009 and very great emphasis is placed on environmentally friendly ski operations. Green energy from hydroelectric production in South Tyrol is used for artificial snow production and for the lifts. This electricity is certified and CO2-free. The road leading up to the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) is closed to private transport between 9 am and 5 pm. Hotel guests on the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm) are given a special driving permit.
Public transportation/on-site mobility
- No direct train connection
IC and EC trains stop in Bolzano (Bozen) and Bressanone (Brixen). Direct bus connections run to the villages around the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm). - Ski buses

- Ski buses to the Seiser Alm lift in Siusi (Seis) run mainly from Fiè allo Sciliar (Völs am Schlern), Siusi allo Sciliar (Seis am Schlern) and Castelrotto (Kastelruth). On the Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm), the Almbus runs between Compaccio (Compatsch) and Saltria. From Saltria, a payable bus runs to Monte Pana and the entry point to the Sella Ronda. There are also ski buses in Val Gardena (Grödnertal).
