Part of the ski resort of Alpe Lusia is located in the Parco Naturale Paneveggio Pale di San Martino. The Pala group has been part of the Dolomites World Heritage Site since 2009. In Bellamonte there are 2 photovoltaic systems. The water to snow the slopes is taken from the hydroelectric basin called Lago di Paneveggio.
