Powerful snow cannons are capable of covering almost the entire ski resort of Alpe Lusia with artificial snow. The majority of the slopes are situated above 1,800 m. The Castelir base station is at 1,550 m and the Ronchi base station is at 1,370 m. The slope to Ronchi is located completely on the shaded side and is therefore generally open from the first day through until the last day of the season.
