Only a road separates the ski resort from most of the Altastenberg accommodations. Included amongst these are the 4 star Superior Hotel Astenkrone, multiple 3 star hotels as well as many holiday apartments. Most of these are traditional, cozy hotels featuring typical Hochsauerland architecture with slate cladding and black and white framework. The guests appreciate the short distances in the village. However, there is not that much to explore because the shopping and leisure activities are very limited.
