Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Altastenberg

The Altastenberg ski resort is considered the most challenging ski resort in Sauerland due to the FIS slalom slope. An additional black slope as well as 6 red slopes complete the offering for advanced skiers. Unfortunately, all of the slopes are groomed immediately after new snow has fallen (across the whole slope width).

Information for advanced skiers, freeriders
  • no freeride/deep snow areas
  • few mogul slopes
  • no extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

Most difficult run
  • FIS slalom slope · Length 0.4 km · Elevation difference 120 m
Only officially recognized FIS course in the Sauerland. Located on Westfalenhang I.

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
