Slope offering, variety of runs at the ski resort Altastenberg
The Altastenberg ski resort offers the only officially recognized FIS slalom slope in the Sauerland. The two slopes that run parallel to this slope are also challenging. However, there are also gentle slopes including the Kapellenhang and the Schwedenhang and the open terrain surrounding the Bruechetal provides powder snow skiing opportunities when new snow has fallen. The Westfalenhang II offers classic forest runs, ski paths to the Westfalenhang I and a path to circumvent the steep slope. One shortcoming is the connection to the Schwedenhang. When coming from the Steilhang, you must walk 120 m there and back over the sport field.

- Artificial snow-making
- Valley run available
The entrance to the Altastenberg ski resort is at the mountain station. If only the slopes with snow-making capabilities are open, you can ski the valley run through the Bruechetal to the Westfalenhang 1 and go up again with the Westfalenhang I lift, but you can't get back to the other slopes from this mountain station because the connection slope does not have snow-making equipment.
