Arber is an ideal family ski resort. A great family offering is provided including the large ArBär Kinderland, a parallel giant slalom for kids with a double time measurement system, the Family Cross Park as well as a toboggan run. The 6-person Sonnenhang chairlift is specially equipped for children. The safety bar closes automatically and opens automatically at the mountain station. The good price-service ratio for families in the Bavarian Forest is also a highlight.

ArBär -Kinderland children's area
The ArBär -Kinderland children's area at Thurnhof offers children optimal conditions. Four magic carpets (people movers) with lengths of 33 m, 87 m, 102 m and even 126 m are located within the fenced-off ArBär children's area. Numerous easy slopes ensure optimal learning success. The entrance to the children's area is directly at the sun terrace of the Thurnhofstüberl. The transport capacity of the magic carpets is an impressive 1000 children/hour. The mascot is the ArBär (Ar Bear). Ski rentals, a ski depot and playrooms for the children with child-friendly restrooms round off the offering. There is a separate ski pass for the ArBär-Kinderland (multi-hour or whole day).
Arber toboggan run
The ascent to the beginning of the 1,200 m long toboggan run is with the 6-person Sonnenhang chairlift. The relatively flat and easy run leads to Thurnhofstüberl. A free toboggan bus brings the tobogganers back to the Sonnenhang chairlift again for more tobogganing fun. Children can also toboggan in the ArBär children's area. After ascending with two magic carpets, the children can access the lower part of the toboggan run.
