The large linked ski area starts in the villages of Bad Gastein (1,002 metres) and Bad Hofgastein (857 metres). From Bad Gastein, lifts take skiers up to the Stubnerkogel (2,251 metres). From Bad Hofgastein, lifts go up to the Schlossalm (2,050 metres). The Angertal Ski Centre (1,175 metres) is the hub between the Stubnerkogel and the Schlossalm and links the two mountains with several lifts. The Angertal is a tributary valley of the Gastein Valley and features a large beginners’ and children's area with its own large car park. The highest point is the Hohe Scharte (2,300 metres). The linked ski area is the largest ski resort in the Gastein Valley.
