Access, Parking Bellwald
Bellwald is located above the Rhone Valley in Valais at 1,560 metres and is the highest community in the Goms area. The ski resort of Bellwald can be accessed by private or public transportation. You can travel either by car or by train and then take the cable car up to the ski resort. The cable car travels up to Bellwald from the Fürgangen-Bellwald train station. The Basper car park is located at the mountain station of the cable car and is free of charge. A ski bus transports visitors from here to the slopes. You can also park directly at the slopes in Gassen. However, you need to pay for parking here.
The resort can be accessed from several directions by car.
From Germany/Basel/Berne: drive via Basel–Berne–Thun–Kandersteg (Lötschberg car train)–Goppenstein–Brig–continue towards Furka
From Germany/Zurich: drive towards Gotthard–Andermatt – Furka car train (Realp–Oberwald) – continue through Goms towards Brig
From West Switzerland: drive via the A9 from Lake Geneva towards Brig–Furka
From Milan, Italy: drive over the Simplon Pass (open all year round) or take the Brig–Iselle car train
