The Berwang valley is ideally suited for families. In Berwang, childcare is available from three years of age and in Berwang and Bichlbach, there are special ski school children's areas where Bobo the Penguin makes first attempts on skis lots of fun. In Berwang, near the entrance to the child-safe Egghof Sun Jet and the Obere Karbahn I lift at the B-Active Center, there is an attractive selection of practice slopes of gradually increasing difficulty for young children. Children can also practise riding different types of lifts here with a moving carpet, tow rope, tow lift and chairlift. There is another separate and quiet beginners’ area at the nearby Braunilift in Berwang where beginners can continue practising first turns. On the Thaneller, there is a free moving carpet. Toboggan runs complete the offering.

Children's area run by the Skischule Berwang
The area around the entrance to the Egghof Sun Jet/Obere Karbahn I lift in Berwang is a dream for children. Covered magic carpets and a tow rope lift reserved for use by ski school pupils assist with first attempts in the snow. Bobo the Penguin makes sure children have lots of fun. And with the Skischule Berwang, you know your children are in good hands. The ski school has received multiple awards and is one of the best in Austria.
Thaneller moving carpet
At the base station of the Thanellerbahn lift, there is a moving carpet which is free of charge for all users. You can also find fun figures here. Ideal for families with children or beginners making their first turns in the snow.
Children's area run by the Skischule Bichlbach
The area run by the Skischule Bichlbach is slightly smaller than the one in Berwang, but it also has a moving carpet and a tow rope. It is not very busy on the practice slope at the Sonnbichllift, which means children have space to practise their first turns.
“Bärenritt” toboggan run
The Bärenritt toboggan run starts at the mountain station of the Egghof Sun Jet in Berwang. The run is lots of fun, perfectly groomed and suitable even for very young children. The weekly floodlit night tobogganing is particularly good fun.
