Beginners Big White
The Big White ski resort is perfect for beginners. It is possible to ski almost the entire ski resort on easy and wide slopes. In Happy Valley at the base station of Lara's Gondola, the beginners can practice their first curves at the two people movers. Lara's Gondola connects Happy Valley with the Village Centre. There are many easy slopes at the gondola lift which lead into Happy Valley and to the accommodations of Big White Village. Lara's Gondola can be used free of charge by all guests. The Plaza Chair quad chairlift is the practice lift at the Village Centre. There are many very easy slopes available here. Beginners can take any of the high speed chairlifts up to the Big White ski resort without fear because there are easy slopes throughout the resort. The tour over to the Gem Lake Express and then from there up to the peak is very recommendable. Green slopes (very easy slopes) lead from all of the mountain stations back down to the valley. All of the accommodations in Big White Village are also accessible via very easy slopes and ski paths, so beginners can get from their hotels or holiday apartments directly to the slopes without a problem. The Big White Ski & Snowboard School offers courses for even the youngest of skiers and also offers private ski instruction.
