The ski resort on the north slopes of the Rila Mountains starts in the holiday village of Borowez (Borovets in English). It is one of the largest ski resorts in Bulgaria and consists of the three linked ski centres of Sitnyakovo, Yastrebets and Markudjik. From Markudjik, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Musala (2,925 metres), the highest mountain in Bulgaria.
