The evaluation is done as follows
Environmental protection of the ski resort Brauneck – Lenggries/Wegscheid
All lifts operated by the Brauneck Bergbahnen lift company are powered by green energy and are therefore CO2-neutral. There is a great emphasis on public transport and the train connection provided by the BOB (Bayerische Oberlandbahn). The BOB combined ticket between Munich and Lenggries is the perfect environmentally friendly way to travel. It includes a day ski pass as well as return rail travel and the bus transfer from the train station to the ski resort. As compensation for the construction of the Garland reservoir, the Brauneck Bergbahn lift operator is clearing trees and shrubs from the gravel banks of the Isar. This has restored 12 hectares of biotope area.
