Beginners Catinaccio/Ciampedie – Vigo di Fassa/Pera di Fassa
Beginners can find an ideal practice area in Ciampedie. Ciampedie is the heart of the ski resort and a natural terrace at 2,000 metres. It offers beautiful views of the Rosengarten peaks including the Vajolet Towers and the other Dolomite mountains. Ciampedie can be accessed easily from the Vigo di Fassa cable car or by taking three chairlifts from Pera di Fassa. Beginners can practise at the moving carpet, in the ski school area or at the Campo Scuola Ciampedie chairlift. The chairlift provides access to a very easy slope. Advanced beginners can ski on easy slopes from Ciampedie down to the valley in Pera di Fassa. There is also an easy run at Pra Martin, the highest point in the ski resort. Only the valley run to Vigo di Fassa is intermediate, very long and therefore not suitable for beginners.
