Ski lifts/ropeways Chäserrugg – Unterwasser/Alt St. Johann (Toggenburg)
From the villages of Unterwasser (910 m) and Alt St. Johann (900 m), a funicular and a combined lift (gondola and chairlift combined) lead up to the Toggenburg ski resort. Up in the ski resort, there are additional high speed, detachable lifts as well as numerous tow lifts. On the popular Chäserrugg (2262 m), a cable car lift with limited transport capacity and the new 10-person gondola lift from Espel over the Stöfeli are in operation (since the 2015/2015 season). Once at the top, guests are rewarded with an unforgettable view.
