From Crans-Montana, there are three direct entry points for skiing: one in the centre of Crans, one in the centre of Montana and one in Les Barzettes. From Sierre in the Rhone Valley, a funicular runs directly up to the high plateau on which Crans-Montana is located. The town has a long tradition as a tourist centre and offers a wide range of sports facilities as well as many restaurants, bars and a conference centre.
