Cross-country trails at the ski resort Crans-Montana

  • Cross-country trail offering
    Total trail length: 84 km

Crans-Montana has a lot to offer cross-country skiers. Even world-class skiers train on the high-altitude cross-country trail on the Plaine Morte Glacier at 2,800 metres. Cross-country trails also lead to the Crans-Montana golf club in winter.

Trail tip(s)
  • Plaine-Morte Glacier (Glacier de la Plaine Morte)

The Plaine-Morte Glacier is situated at 2,700 to 2,800 metres with an extensive glacier plain that makes it ideal for cross-country skiing (there are almost no crevasses in the flat area). The beautiful mountain panorama including the glacier is impressive. The Violettes Express gondola lift and the Plaine-Morte funitel lead up from Barzettes-Violettes. The cross-country skiing area is around 100 metres below the mountain station.
    • Length 6 km
