Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Dachstein Glacier (Dachsteingletscher)
At the ski resort on the Dachstein Glacier, there is a difficult slope which leads down to the Mitterstein lift. At the Schladminger Gletscher lift and beneath the Mitterstein lift, there are also some short runs through the powder. However, the Dachstein Glacier is an excellent starting point for ski tours.
A definite highlight for freeriders is the slope through the Edelgrieß in die Ramsau. The starting point for this famous slope is accessed via a 20 m long ladder as well as the Rosmarie-Stollen vom Austriascharten lift. This slope should only be attempted by winter athletes with Alpine experience and necessary safety equipment!
- some freeride/deep snow areas
- no mogul slopes
