There are very good restaurants on many of the slopes in the Dachstein West ski resort. The majority are rustic, nice ski huts serving regional dishes. Everything from Kasspatzen (cheese noodles) to cheese fondue to filet of beef is served.

At the Hornspitz mountain station at 1600 m
Exclusive mountain restaurant with a gorgeous view, attached umbrella bar, beautiful sun terrace and an Après-Ski offering. The menu ranges from spaghetti to cheese fondue to steak with king prawns. A true gourmet tip in the ski resort.

Breininghütte
On the Zwieselalm
The Breininghütte is one of the most rustic huts in the ski resort. They cook everything themselves here. They almost exclusively use their own products.
Hornhütte
On the Russbach valley run
The Hornhütte is one of the most rustic huts in the ski resort. The cozy dining room entices you to stay a while and the hut culture is really experienced here. Homestyle dishes and regional delicacies are served.
Rottenhof-Hütte
At the Anger lift
The 400 year old hut was expanded in 2007. It is a cozy ski hut with culinary delicacies and a nice terrace.
Zeishofhütte
On the family run Hornspitz II
The Zeishofhütte is accessed via the family run Hornspitz II. It's a rustic, very cozy ski hut with a fireplace and a large sun terrace. The menu includes homemade cheese, butter and Kaspressknödel (cheese dumplings).
Franzl Alm
On the Russbach valley run at 1000 m
Moderate prices and good food are found at the Franzl Alm. When the weather is bad, you can sit in the cozy dining room by the ceramic oven and when the weather is nice, the sun terrace with free lounge chairs welcomes you.
