The Garmisch-Classic ski resort has a good mixture of slopes of all difficulty levels. On the Osterfelderkopf and at the Längenfelderbahn lift, the slopes are above the treeline. All other slopes are below the treeline. The long valley runs to the Hausbergbahn and Kreuzeckbahn/Alpspitzbahn lift base stations are intermediate and difficult. Easy slopes are located in the middle area between the Hausberg and Kreuzeck.

The steepest and most difficult sections are the “Free Fall” and Tröglhang. Before World Cup races, some sections of this slope are blocked off in order to prepare them for the race. Alternative routes are provided.

The Kandahar slope leads from the Kreuzjoch to the base station of the Kreuzeckbahn/Alpspitzbahn lifts in different variations. The difficult slope is used for World Cup races. The steepest section is the “Free Fall” with a 92% gradient. An alternative route is provided to bypass this section. - Osterfelder slope
