Access & on-site parking

The ski resort of Gemsstock is located in the canton of Uri in Andermatt. In winter, the only access to the ski resort is via Göschenen. The other passes are all closed in winter. Andermatt is located almost directly at the Göschenen exit of the A2 motorway. The car parks in Andermatt (payable) at the Gemsstockbahn lift are just a few minutes’ drive.

Winter Closure

The Oberalp Pass, Furka Pass and Gotthard Pass are closed in winter. Travelling from the Sedrun/Disentis/Mustér/Flims direction, the road to Andermatt is closed. Travelling from the Wallis/Valais direction, the road is also closed. A regular train loading service runs through the Furka Tunnel. Travelling from Italy, you drive through the Gotthard Tunnel.
