Environmental protection of the ski resort Gemsstock – Andermatt

Sustainability is an important priority in the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. There is no access to protected wildlife and forest areas and these are clearly marked on the piste map. The electrical power in the supply area for the Elektrizitätswerk Ursern and Energia Alpina (Gütsch wind farm) comes 100% from renewable energy sources. The ski resort is a partner of POW Protect our Winters. The "Mountain Food" gastronomy brand in the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun includes restaurants that use regional ingredients and offer free mountain water from fountains. War is being waged on plastic. The use of public transport is promoted (Snow&Rail offer by the SBB rail operator, Ski-Express Bus from Zurich, Lucerne, Aarau, Lugano). Use of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB) train is included with the ski pass.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

The Andermatt Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB) train station is just a few minutes from the Gemsstockbahn lift.
