Access, Parking Gerlitzen
The ski resort of Gerlitzen Alpe is located in the heart of Carinthia. Villach is just 8 kilometres from the Kanzelbahn lift. There are two main entry points to the ski resort at Annenheim and Klösterle.
The base station of the Kanzelbahn lift in Annenheim at the Ossiacher See lake is just a few minutes’ drive from the Tauernautobahn motorway. There is a free multi-storey car park here. Additional car parks can be accessed very easily by shuttle bus. As there is no valley run here, the Kanzelbahn lift transports visitors up to the ski resort and back down. The second main entry point at the Klösterebahn lift is in Klösterle near Arriach. There are lots of free parking spaces beside the slopes.
There are also car parks on the Gerlitzen, which are mainly reserved for visitors staying overnight. However, it is recommended to park at the Kanzelbahn or Klösterlebahn base stations. The access roads to the Gerlitzen are steep, narrow and in some places there are tolls to pay.
