Lifts/cable cars Gitschberg Jochtal
Since the winter of 2011/2012, the Gitschberg-Jochtal connection lift (Schillingbahn lift and Gaisjochbahn lift) has linked the two ski resorts of Gitschberg and Jochtal. For a mono-cable gondola lift, it has an impressive span width of 540 metres and a ground clearance of 93 metres - and offers a romantic view of the Altfass Valley. Modern gondola lifts take you up to attractive slopes from the villages of Meransen and Vals. On the Gitschberg, the Ski Express modern 10-person` gondola lift provides access to slopes of all difficulty levels. A 4-person chairlift runs to the summit of the Gitschberg. In the Jochtal, two chairlifts are in operation, one of which is a high-speed chairlift with weather-protection covers. Village lifts are available in Vals and Meransen for beginners and to provide connections to accommodation. The Mühlbach-Meransen cable car transports skiers staying in Mühlbach to Meransen. However, you need to walk for a few meters from the mountain station to the Brunner ski lift.
