Slopes/runs Grand Tourmalet/Pic du Midi – La Mongie/Barèges
Due to the expansive area between La Mongie 1800 m to Barèges 1250 m, the ski resort offers plenty of variety. There is a total of 70 different slopes, most of which lead over treeless terrain. In Ayre Barèges, there are forest glades. The middle point of the ski resort is the Col du Tourmalet, the highest pass road in the French Pyrenees (famous from the Tour de France). The pass is closed in the winter and a ski slope leads over the highest point. A special highlight is the well-known Pic du Midi. There is an observatory here at 2877 m and the panorama is very impressive. A cable car lift goes up from La Mongie to the Pic du Midi (2877 m). There are no official ski slopes from the Pic du Midi, but rather unofficial freeride slopes.
