Grandvalira is the largest ski resort in Andorra and throughout the Pyrenees. It is also one of the largest in Europe. Grandvalira is completely connected and consists of six sectors: Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa. Grandvalira was established in 2003 through the combination of the Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig ski resort (founded in 1956) and Soldeu-El Tarter ski resort (founded in 1964).
