Grandvalira is fully interconnected and consists of six sectors: Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa. Grandvalira was created in 2003 from the merger of the ski areas Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu-El Tarter (founded in 1964).
