Grandvalira is the largest ski resort in Andorra and in the entire Pyrenees. It is also one of the largest ski resorts in Europe. Grandvalira is fully interconnected and consists of six sectors: Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa. Grandvalira was created in 2003 from the merger of the ski areas Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig (founded in 1956) and Soldeu-El Tarter (founded in 1964).
