Ski lifts/ropeways Grossglockner Heiligenblut
The 4-person Rossbach gondola lift goes up from Heiligenblut to the ski resort. At the Rossbach middle station, you can choose between continuing to ride with a gondola up to the Schareck or riding through the tunnel to the Fleissalm. The Fleissalm tunnel lift is unique in the world. 2 X 11 cars for 5 people each transporting approx. 500 people/hour in each direction through an old water tunnel from the Rossbach middle station to the Fleissalm and back. The length is about 1.6 km and it covers an elevation difference of 63 m. The lift was first opened in the 1986/1987 season. The cars pass each other in the middle. The travel time is about 7 minutes. At the Fleissalm, a modern quad chairlift with weather protectors and two tow lifts await the guests. The lifts go up to 2902 m. The only way back to the Rossbach middle station is through the tunnel. There is no slope connection. The slopes surrounding the Schareck (2604 m) are accessed with the Schareck and Panorama gondola lifts as well as additional tow lifts. A pommel lift is available for beginners in the village of Heiligenblut.
