Family offers/child-friendly rating Hafjell
The ski resort of Hafjell is very popular with families with children. Hafjell has several children's areas designed specially for young skiers and beginners. There are family areas in the valley, at Gondoltoppen and at Gaiastova. The moving carpets can be used free of charge by everyone. The many easy and perfectly prepared slopes are ideal for the whole family. Isa’s forest run is a fun experience for children.

Gondoltoppen children’s area
The largest children’s area in the ski resort of Hafjell is located right next to the mountain station. It has fun figures and a slalom course beside a covered moving carpet. Another covered moving carpet provides access to a practice slope and a separate ski school area run by Hafjell ski school. The moving carpets can be used free of charge. Right next to this area, there is another easy button lift and Isa’s forest slope.
Knerten children’s area
Button lifts and a moving carpet with easy slopes are located right next to the base station. Fun characters and a practice course add the finishing touches. The mascot Isa also makes frequent appearances with music on Isa’s stage.
Gaia children’s area
The entire Gaia family area with a button lift can be used free of charge by everyone. It has a slalom course with fun figures, a great wave run for children, a toboggan run and two fairly easy slopes.
