With the beginning of the winter season 2019/20, winter sports enthusiasts will get even quicker into the feeling of the Königstour with a modern 10-seater gondola Gabühel. Than the last old-fashioned lift in the ski resort finally goes into retirement.Skiers can experience even faster, even quieter and above all, even more comfortable the Salzburg mountain world. The new Valley Station in Dienten is only a few hundred meters away and will be built directly next to the ski center Dienten.

We connect, what supposed to be one

With 2 brand-new cable cars on the Natrun, the Sonnbergbahn and Natrunbahn lifts, the town center of Maria Alm will now be directly connected to the Hochkönig ski area. You thus have access to skiing enjoyment from the town center of Maria Alm. An insider’s tip is also the new Sonnberg slope, which is not only equipped with state-of-the-art snow-making machines but also invites you to enjoy magnificent sunny skiing.

Königstour with 6 summits

The five existing summits of the Königstour will be extended to include the Natrun mountain. New peak emotions are created with six summits and an amazing 35 kilometers of slopes, surrounded by breathtaking views among romantic mountain huts.

Kingsline Freeride Day

A great Freeride day, skiing down in front of the wonderful mountain scenery of the Hochkönig including Freeride rental equipment under the supervision of a professional guide. Most of the ascent will be done on a lift, but for a few of the slopes, you will have to ski tour up.

Königstour Highly Delicious

Probably the most enjoyable "Hüttenralley" in the Alps - here a Kaiserschmarrn (chopped up pancakes), there a good glass of a Austrian wine - along the Königstour at Hochkönig you ski from Aperitif to dessert, every course at a different hut.

Austria's first cable car lift with WLAN on the Hochkoenig
Muehlbach am Hochkönig (17.09.2013) - As a pioneer in Austria, the Hochkoenig ski resort (Muehlbach-Dienten) has equipped the Kings Cab lift with wireless LAN and the "Mountainment®" information service. The wireless specialist, Loop21, is managing the project, providing hardware and software and making WLAN a modern information platform for guests."The Hochkönig Bergbahnen (lift company) is always looking for unique and extra offerings for our guests in addition to skiing and snowboarding," explains Michael Emberger, Managing Director of Hochkönig Bergbahnen. "We are very pleased to be the first Austrian lift company in Ski amadé to make this unique product available to our guests. We have found a partner, Loop21, with whom we can realize this innovative project, which is a combination of WIFI and an information source."The wireless network stretches along the entire length (over 2 kilometers) of the 8-person cable car lift. The ski guests are offered an uninterrupted, modern WLAN information platform called "Mountainment®". Local information about weather, trail maps, a direct link to the app download as well as access to Facebook and the internet are available. The quick, uncomplicated access to the content guests need and search for while traveling increases the levels of comfort and satisfaction.

2012/2013

Königstour

Mühlbach, Dienten and Maria Alm. The Hochkönig ski region offers one of the most breathtaking ski tours in the Alps - the Königstour. Its length of 32 continuous kilometers of slopes at an elevation of 1921 meters can be completed in one day and is perfect for a day tour for the whole family. With the construction of the 3.6 kilometer long Sinalco lift, the missing ski link has been successfully connected. Now, the villages of Mühlbach, Dienten and Maria Alm are joined together.
