The ski resort of Hochoetz is located at the entrance to the Ötztal Valley. The base station of the Acherkogelbahn lift is just a few minutes from the exit of the A12 Inntalautobahn motorway. Sufficient free parking is available there. There is another entry point in Ochsengarten. Winter Closure
The Timmelsjoch-Hochalpenstrasse (pass from the end of the Öztal Valley to Italy/South Tyrol) is closed from October until May.

- Ski buses run from Oetz, Habichen, Piburg and Sautens directly to the base station in Oetz. The newly constructed ski bus stop is situated right next to the gondola lift. A ski bus runs from Haiming and Haimingerberg to Ochsengarten. There are also ski buses between Ochsengarten and Kühtai, as well as other ski buses and scheduled buses that can be used free of charge throughout the Ötztal Valley with a valid ski pass.
