Unrivaled fun on the slopes

A new, black section for more experienced winter sports aficionados will connect the Balbach area with Ochsengarten. Lovely side effect: the additional passage finally interconnects the areas by creatin also the longest slope within the ski region.

2020/2021

NEW SKI PISTE: Balbach - Ochsengarten

Black ski piste no. 14 covering approx. 1 km connects the Balbach area with Ochsengarten. The newly built ski piste no. 14 starts just above the base station of Mohrenkopf lift towards Ochsengarten. Therefore it is the longest ski run of the entire ski area: The route covers 5 km from the top station of Wetterkreuzbahn via ski pistes no. 13, 10 and the new piste no. 14 to the base station of Ochsengarten Mountain Gondola.

WIDIs Movie Shuttle - your speedy 5D-adventure

Unique in Austria's Alpine pasture region, WIDI's MOVIE SHUTTLE in Hochoetz offers a fascinating journey for all senses. Ten seats are available for a superb 5D experience in the movie theater equipped with 180-degree screen. In a fast paced, eight minute chase WIDI and his friends are searching for a magic crystal stolen by the wolf. Opening hours: daily from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm / Tickets: EUR 4.00

Balbach Wiesenlift - More comfort for children.
The t-bar "Balbach Wiesenlift" is replaced by a new platter lift. This means more comfort and security primarily for children and beginners. These adaptations let arise an ideal exercise terrain for families.WIDI Funpark - next to the Balbach Lift there is a new Funpark for kids.

New Winter 2016/2017 - Ochsengarten lift

Faster, better, more comfortable.
This winter, the 4-seater Ochsengarten gondola will be replaced by an 8-seater gondola.
With eight seats, the gondola has a transport capacity of 2,520 people/hour.
Thereby, the ski area improves the quality of service enormously.

Children's obstacle course - "Finde die Tiere des Waldes" (find the animals of the forest)

"Find the animals of the forest" is the name of the game at the new children´s obstacle course located in the middle of the forest near slope No. 9. The painted Ochsengarten lift takes you back to the mountain station afterwards.

Zugspitzblick viewing platform, children's obstacle course and family igloo

A highlight is the "Zugspitzblick" (Zugspitze View) viewing platform.
The new viewing platform at the mountain station of the Wetterkreuz lift offers a gorgeous panorama view of the Inn Valley in the direction of Kühtai, all the way to the Wetterstein mountains. Relax on the ergonomically designed lounge chairs, let your soul be free and enjoy the wrap-around view all the way to the Zugspitze.
At the new children's obstacle course, the objective is to find the animals of the forest. There are five stations with interesting tips and information about native animals.

1 ski pass = 2 ski resorts at the Ski Region Kühtai-Hochoetz
Take the lifts in Kühtai and also enjoy the slopes in Hochoetz - this is the new Ski Region Kühtai-Hochoetz (valid for all multi-day lift tickets as of 2 days). There is a free bus transfer every half-hour between Hochoetz (Ochsengarten) and Kühtai.
