Access, Parking Jenner – Schönau am Königssee

The Jennerbahn lift starts to the south of Berchtesgaden in Schönau am Königssee. The Jenner can be accessed quickly (around 20 minutes) from the Austrian A10 Tauernautobahn motorway, exit Grödig/Salzburg-Süd. From the Munich/Rosenheim area, you can also leave the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway at the Bad Reichenhall exit and then drive over country roads for around 30 minutes to the Jenner. This avoids the Austrian motorway. The large Königssee car park is tarmacked and free of charge, but charges apply during the Bavarian holidays. The car park is around 200 metres from the base station of the Jennerbahn lift. There are parking spaces for disabled visitors and a charging point for electric vehicles right next to the base station.
