Access, Parking Kaunertal Glacier (Kaunertaler Gletscher)
Kaunertal Glacier is located at the end of the Kaunertal Valley, a side valley in the Ötztal Alps. It is around one hour’s drive from the Reschen exit of the A12 Inntalautobahn motorway. The journey up to the glacier is an experience. There are amazing views from probably the most beautiful cul-de-sac in Austria. From the toll booth in the valley, it is 26 kilometres and 29 bends to the glacier car park at 2,750 metres. When the Ochsenalmbahn 1 lift is running, you can park at 2,150 metres and take the 4-person chairlift up to the glacier. The car parks are free of charge. The toll for the Kaunertal Glacier Road is included in the ski pass.
