On the glacier plateau on the Kitzsteinhorn at 2,900 metres, there is a very snow-reliable groomed high-altitude cross-country trail covering a distance of up to 1 kilometre. This trail is open when the cross-country trails in the valley are closed (autumn and spring). In the valley, there is a good cross-country trail network extending from Kaprun to Zell am See. A cross-country trail starts at the car park of the MK Maiskogelbahn base station.
