Pleasure on all levels is the motto of the restaurants on the Kitzsteinhorn. The wide and varied selection from the valley all the way to the summit station at 3,029 metres offers something for every taste. From typical Austrian fare to international specialities, from a relaxed sun terrace to après-ski at an umbrella bar, simply choose your preferred option depending on cuisine and altitude. On the Maiskogel, there are rustic ski huts and traditional mountain restaurants, both self-service and with table service. There is a very informal atmosphere in the huts. The large sun terraces tempt you to extend your break.

Gipfel Restaurant
At the mountain station at 3,029 metres in the Gipfelwelt 3000, Salzburg’s highest restaurant
The Gipfel Restaurant offers diners culinary delights accompanied by a beautiful view of Austria’s highest mountains. It is connected directly to the Gipfelwelt 3000. Salzburg's highest restaurant has a self-service area as well as a section with table service.
Gletschermühle
At the Alpincenter at 2,450 metres
This homely restaurant serves typical Austrian cuisine. The menu features golden-yellow Wiener Schnitzel and pan-cooked Pinzgauer Kasnock‘n (cheesy pasta) as well as a wide selection of legendary Austrian pastry dishes. Wines from renowned Austrian producers are also available by the glass. In March 2010, the restaurant received the “Genusswirt” quality label and is the network's highest altitude establishment in Austria.
Alpincenter
Situated centrally in the ski resort between the Gipfelbahn and Gletscherjet 2 lifts
The Alpincenter offers something for every taste - in the self-service restaurant, diners can choose from pizza, pasta, burgers, barbecue dishes, a salad buffet as well as regional specialities and desserts.

At the base station of the MK Maiskogelbahn lift
The Alpine Lifestyle Restaurant Baumbar offers top-quality cuisine in 7 different restaurants and lounges. The sun terrace is an inviting place to sit in fine weather. Carefully selected wines from the cellar add the finishing touch to a meal beside the open fire or by candlelight. The Baumbar is also known as “Schnitzelkönig” (schnitzel king) as it serves the best schnitzel in the region along with other fine dishes

Krefelder Hütte
Below the Alpincenter at slope 11 at 2,300 metres
The cosy mountain hut run by the Deutscher Alpenverein (German mountaineering association) in the area between the Alpincenter and Langwiedboden serves hearty fare and delicious dumpling dishes. From the sun terrace, there is a beautiful view of the Kitzsteinhorn.
Häuslalm
At the Langwiedboden at 2,000 metres
This rustic mountain hut serves hearty fare and Pinzgau specialities. The terrace is a particular highlight.
Alpengasthaus Glocknerblick
On the Maiskogel, below and slightly to the east of the mountain station of the Almbahn lift - clearly signposted
From the rustic hut, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Dachstein Mountains and to the Großglockner, the Steinernes Meer, the Hochkönig and the Schmittenhöhe You can, of course, also find local specialities and a cosy atmosphere here.
Jausenstation Stangerbauer
Below the middle station of the MK Maiskogelbahn lift at 1,100 metres
The Jausenstation Stangerbauer serves delicious home-made fare and regional specialities. Plus point: the majority of the ingredients come from the restaurant’s own farm production.
Maiskogel Alm Ranch
Beside the Familienpiste slope 31 at 1,545 metres
The Maiskogel Alm Ranch is a cosy restaurant with an informal atmosphere. Its speciality is barbecued food. The petting zoo is another highlight.
Jausenstation Unteraigen
Beside the valley run slightly above Kaprun
The Jausenstation Unteraigen offers delicious regional and house specialities. Tip: in winter, there is a weekly traditional rustic hut evening.
Sauloch Alm
Beside the mountain station of the MK Maiskogelbahn lift
The Sauloch Alm offers a large sun terrace, classic skiers’ fare and regional Pinzgau cuisine.
