Since December 2019, the spectacular 3K K-onnection has provided a link between the Kitzsteinhorn and the Maiskogel. The continuous Kaprun-Maiskogel-Kitzsteinhorn lift connection has turned a long-held dream into reality for the region. The family ski resort on the Maiskogel starts directly in Kaprun. Most of the slopes are accessed from a very modern 10-person gondola lift with a middle station. From the Maiskogel, the ultra-modern tri-cable 3K K-onnection cable car takes skiers to the Langwiedboden and onwards to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski resort. Kitzsteinhorn is the highest ski resort and the only glacier ski area in the Province of Salzburg. The slopes are beautifully wide and the plateau and view make the terrain very expansive.
