Traditional, cosy and modern mountain huts are distributed throughout the ski resort of Klausberg and serve typical South Tyrolean specialities. Foodies can look forward to a treat here too. There is a good balance of self-service and table-service restaurants. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants or cafés at the top on the K2.

Kristallalm

At the mountain station of the K-Express at 1,600 metres

The Tyrolean-style ski hut is tastefully designed with lots of aged wood and old pictures. On the top floor, the à la carte restaurant serves typical Ahrntal and South Tyrolean specialities. You can relax and enjoy a drink in the lounge. On the middle floor, there is a self-service restaurant and on the bottom floor, there are dining rooms for groups.

Stochas – Food & Drinks

Right next to the Klausiland at 1,040 metres

The Stochas (translated from Steinhaus/stone house) is a modern and unusual restaurant with a rooftop relax terrace and multifaceted cuisine. Right next to the Klausiland, you can enjoy a drink at the bar or delicious food. There is a wide selection to choose from: pasta from its own pasta factory, burgers, sushi, Thai dishes and creative desserts. Fine wines add the finishing touch. Every wish is catered for here.

Mountain hut tip

Speck & Schnapsalm

At the Klausberg 4-person chairlift at 1,726 metres

Probably the most rustic mountain hut on the Klausberg with South Tyrolean specialities You can enjoy the sun terrace until the sun goes down. The home-made hay schnapps (HeiSchnops), pine schnapps and camomile schnapps are not to be missed. The meat comes from the restaurant’s own farm and the pasta is made freshly every day. The proprietor Sepp also offers a sauna and hot tub behind the hut.

Moaregg Alm

Slightly above the K-Express mountain station at 1,605 metres

The Moaregg Alm serves South Tyrolean specialities from its own farm. It has an old dining room with a ceramic stove and a newer dining room decorated with lots of wood. In fine weather, you can sit on the sun terrace.

Weissenbachl-Hütte

At the valley run at 1,530 metres

This rustic hut offers beautiful views over the Ahrntal Valley and serves South Tyrolean specialities.
