Beginners Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen – Grindelwald/Wengen

Grindelwald and Wengen offer ideal facilities for beginners. Directly below the Kleine Scheidegg (easily accessible from Grindelwald and Wengen on the cog railway), there is the large Kleine Scheidegg Beginner’s Park with covered moving carpets and tow lifts. On the Männlichen (easily accessible from Grindelwald and Wengen on the cable car), beginners can practice their first turns at two practice lifts and one moving carpet in the Kinderparadies Männlichen (Children's Paradise). Directly in Wengen, there is a beginners’ area with two tow lifts. The Schweizer Ski- und Snowboardschule Wengen has its own beginners’ area with moving carpets. Several easy slopes lead down to Grindelwald from the Kleine Scheidegg via Alpiglen and Brandegg. These slopes are very long and can be easily tackled by beginners. Towards Wengen, beginners can find ideal slopes all the way to the Wengernalm. Further down towards Wengen, the slope then becomes intermediate and beginners should take the cog railway back down to the valley. On the Männlichen, there are two easy slopes for beginners at the Läger and the Männlichen 4-person chairlifts. One of these is the Wasserwendi Slow Slope (a special slope for slow skiing). The valley run from the Männlichen to Grindelwald is not recommended for beginners.
