There are some difficult slopes at Kronplatz, including the Sylvester valley run and the Herrnegg run to Reischach, as well as the very difficult Piculin run. This is one of the steepest slopes in Italy and has been selected several times for the title of “Best Black Run”. The difficult Pre da Peres and Erta slopes are located in St. Vigil. Experienced skiers refer to these five slopes as "The Black 5".
