Environmental protection of the ski resort Kühtai
Kühtai is a sustainable holiday resort. 100% clean electricity is supplied directly by the nearby Sellrain-Silz hydraulic power station. A photovoltaic system on the “Haus des Tourismus” building produces sustainable energy. 90% of all businesses in Kühtai are heated by a biomass heating plant that uses exclusively local biomass. Kühtai also has the highest electric charging station in Tyrol. Use of public transport to travel to the resort is actively promoted. Free ski buses run from Innsbruck and Ötztal train stations and from Imst, Silz, Sellrain, Gries and the ski resort of Hochoetz. The resort pays attention to correct sorting of rubbish and environmentally friendly snow production using modern equipment.

There are two train stations within easy travelling distance of the ski resort. Ötztal train station is 21 kilometres away. Innsbruck train station is 36 kilometres from the ski resort. Free ski buses run to Kühtai. - Ski buses
- Scheduled buses
- Two scheduled buses travel regularly to Kühtai. One scheduled bus links Kühtai to Innsbruck and the other runs from Silz/Ötztal train station. The scheduled buses are also free ski buses. A free ski bus runs regularly between the ski resorts of Kühtai and Hochoetz.
