Environmental protection of the ski resort Laax/Flims/Falera

Sustainable use of natural resources is a core part of the corporate philosophy of the Weisse Arena Gruppe (lift company). Its environment label is called ‘Greenstyle’. The resort uses renewable energies, including wind power. The Alp Dado 6-person chairlift covers its own energy requirements with a solar power facility. In addition to adhering to legal requirements for emission levels, all of the slope grooming machines are equipped with particle filters. There are many recycling stations for waste in the ski resort. Unfortunately, some of the ski huts still use disposable bottles and plates.

Public transportation/on-site mobility

  • No direct train connection
The nearest train station is in Ilanz (Rhätische Bahn operator), around 8 kilometres from Laax.
  • Comprehensive ski bus network
  • Scheduled buses
  • Flims Laax Falera Shuttle and the Grisons Postauto bus connect the individual villages.
