The ski resort of Lauchernalp is situated in the Lötschental, one of the most beautiful valleys in the canton of Valais. Access from the north (Basel, Bern, Zurich) is via the Lötschberg car train (Kandersteg-Goppenstein). From Goppenstein, it is just 5 kilometres to the ski resort. Access is also possible from the west, south and east, in some cases by car train or over mountain passes. There are 400 payable parking spaces right next to the cable car and a multi-storey car park with 50 payable spaces. From Western Switzerland: take the A9 from Lake Geneva towards Visp and continue to the Lötschental valley. From Milan, Italy: take the Simplon Pass (open all year round) or the Brig-Iselle car train to Visp and continue to the Lötschental valley.
