They are well aware that the success of Les 3 Vallées ski resort is dependent on a sustainable environment. The high elevation makes it possible to use artificial snow-making sparingly - modern machines even filter germs out of the water. With the purchase of their first energy efficient slope groomer, they are moving in the right direction. They closely monitor the restricted areas bordering the nature reserve.
Public transportation/on-site mobility
- No direct train connection
Two TGV train stations are located near entry points to the resort. The station in Saint-Michel-de-Maurieene/Valloire is about 6 km away from Orelle. The Moûtiers - Salins-les-Thermes - Brides-les-Bains station is also about the same distance away from the gondola in Brides-les-Bains. From the station in Moûtiers, you can take public transportation to the various valleys (Courchevel, Méribel und Les Menuires/Val Thorens). - Ski buses

- There are ski buses in the individual valleys, but there is no ski bus connection between the valleys. There are shuttle buses (not free of charge) from the Geneva Airport, Chambéry, Lyon and Grenoble.
