Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Les Sybelles – Le Corbier/La Toussuire/Les Bottières/St Colomban des Villards/St Sorlin/St Jean d’Arves
There are black slopes which earn their classification throughout the Les Sybelles resort. These are only groomed once a week, so there is plenty of time for moguls to form. This has become rare in the Alps. There are no marked ski routes, but plenty of room for freeriding. In Le Corbier and La Toussuire, you can ski to the left and right of almost all slopes, so basically within secured ski space because there are no trees or rocks here. Mountaineers frequent Les Perrons above Saint Sorlin. There is also some open terrain leading from Petit Perron and from L'Ouillon. It is extremely steep on the back side of Tête de Bellard - this should only be attempted in the presence of a guide.
- many freeride/deep snow areas
- some mogul slopes
