Route planner Marmot Basin – Jasper

Access Marmot Basin – Jasper & on-site parking

The Marmot Basin ski resort is located in the western section of the Alberta Province in the Jasper National Park. Jasper is accessible from all directions. Well-built highways lead from Edmonton (360 km away), Lake Louise (230 km away), Kamloops (440 km away) and Prince George (370 km away) to Jasper. From Jasper, you must take the Icefields Highway No. 93 eight km to the turnoff for the ski resort. Then it is 13 km up to the base station at the Caribou Chalet. You can stop at short-term parking to purchase your ski pass and rent equipment and then park in one of the large parking lots (P1 - P4) located a bit above the base station with access to the slopes at the School House triple chairlift. Therefore, you can park right at the slopes. A very easy slope leads along the parking lots and down to the Caribou Chalet and the lifts. It is necessary to purchase a Jasper National Park pass in order to ski at this resort. You can purchase the pass in Jasper or at the control booth at the entrance to the ski resort. If you are caught skiing without this pass, there are hefty fines.
